During the tour you will explore majestic nature of Tien-Shan, ride through powerful coniferous forests and along high snow-covered peaks, blue mountain lakes and full-flowing rivers. You will spend unforgettable nights under open skies and get acquainted with a nomad life of Kyrgyz with their yurts and flocks of yaks, sheep and horses.

 

Tour program:

Day 1. Arrival in Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan

Arrival in Bishkek. Transfer to the hotel for a rest. Bishkek is a capital and the largest city in Kyrgyzstan, located at the foothill of magnificent Kyrgyz Ala-Tau mountain range. Bishkek is a city of many green parks and marble-faced public buildings combined with numerous Soviet-style apartment blocks and thousands of smaller privately built houses. It is laid out on a grid pattern, with most streets flanked on both sides by narrow irrigation channels that water the innumerable trees which provide shade in the hot summers. The city is believed to be the greenest in Central Asia with more trees per head of population than any other. Our sightseeing tour includes: blooming Osh Bazaar, Historical Museum, Museum of Applied Arts and Ala-Too square, the main square of the country. The square serves as a place for state events and celebrations and includes many monuments, open-air picture gallery, famous Oak Park, marble government buildings and theaters.

Day 2. Transfer to Barskaun, 300 km

On the way to the second largest mountainous lake in world we make a stop at Karakhanid’s minaret of the 12 century - Burana. Nowadays it is a museum complex which includes the tower itself, reconstructions of mausoleums found on the site, remains of the citadel, a collection of balbals (grave stones used by nomadic Turkic peoples), petroglyphs (stone carvings) and a small Museum. Further transfer through Boom gorge and along southern shore of the Issyk-Kul Lake. The lake sits in a tectonic hollow surrounded by snowcapped peaks of Terskei and Kungei Ala-Tau Mountain ranges at the altitude of 1600 m. Issyk-Kul Lake is 180 km long, 60 km wide and 700 m deep. 134 streams and rivers flow into the lake but none flows out what is explained by underwater tectonic activity.

Our next is at the southern shore of the lake at Kyzyl-Tuu village is not visit a famous privately owned yurt production. Local masters will show and explain all stage of yurt manufacturing. We proceed to Barskaun village. This day we stay with a family producing felt handicrafts and carpets. Here we meet our horses and a crew. Dinner with Kyrgyz family.

Day 3. Ride to Sary-Bulak, 25 km

We take an easy start to adopt yo your horses and find a right pace. You will ride by plateaus of Ak-Dobo, across Taralgan river and mountainous Sary-Bulak valley.

Day 4. Ride to Ak-Terek, 30km

Our ride goes further to Ak-Terek river along Kichi-Chargultchak river and along high mountainous valley Kindik, where you will get acquainted with Kyrgyz nomads.

Day 5. Ride to Djuukutschak, 30 km

We leave Ak-Terek and keep our way to Djuukutschak along Sauka and Kyzyl-Sai valleys. Here you can have a bath in natural hot thermal springs.

Day 6. Ride to Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu, 30 km

Today we ride to Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu river, by the way you’ll enjoy amazing views of untouched nature.

Day 7. Ride to Chon-Kyzyl-Suu, 30 km

The way takes us across Kichi-Kyzyl-Suu river and through coniferous forest to Chon-Kyzyl-Suu river.

Day 8. Ride to Sutuu-Bulak , 25 km

Today we will ride across fantastic forests with numerous streams and willows.

Day 9. Ride to Djeti-Oguz, 25 km and transfer to Karakol.

On the last horseback riding day we ride to the east to Djeti-Oguz Gorge along beautiful mountainous lake and pass through famous red rocks “7 bulls” and “Broken heart”. In the afternoon - Bus transfer to Karakol.

Day 10. Sightseeing tour in Karakol.

The atmosphere of Karakol town will bring you hundred years back and give you an impression of Tsarist Russia. Karakol in previous times had another name – Prjevalsk, in honor of the famous Russian explorer of Asia – Nikolai Prjevalski, whose grave is situated at the shore of Issyk-Kul Lake. Visiting of Prjevalsk Museum. The town was founded in 1869 and is constructed in an old Russian style with many buildings from Tsar time. Dinner with Uighur family.

Day 11. Transfer to Cholpon-Ata, 140 km

We continue our journey along Issyk-Kul Lake. The lake sits in a hollow surrounded by snowcapped peaks of Terskei and Kungei Ala-Tau Mountain ranges at the altitude of 1600 m. The Lake is 180 km long, 60 km wide and 700 m deep. 134 streams and rivers flow into the lake but none flows out what is explained by underwater tectonic activity. In the afternoon you can relax at the beach and go swimming.

Day 12. Transfer to Bishkek, 250 km

On the way to Bishkek we make a stop at Karakhanid’s minaret of the 12 century - Burana tower. Nowadays it is a museum complex which includes the tower itself, reconstructions of mausoleums found on the site, remains of a citadel, collection of balbals (grave stones used by nomadic Turkic peoples), petroglyphs (stone carvings) and a small museum. Free afternoon in Bishkek will be culminated by farewell dinner with folklore show. Artists will demonstrate you national musical instruments and techniques of playing.

Transfer to the airport and departure. End of services.
